GPS Asset Tracking for trailers and valuable plant.

Minorplanet’s Asset Tracking solution is a GPS Data Collection Unit (DCU) designed to be fitted to a trailer, plant or other valuable assets. The unit is fully compatible with the VMIgreenlight™ tracking system, can be activated by the integral motion sensor, and is capable of periodic or live, minute-by-minute tracking.

The Asset Tracking units use GPS to determine the position and transmits this over a GPRS mobile data network. It contains a motion sensor, an internal battery and is housed in a case which is fixed to the trailer and wired to a GSM/GPS antenna.

There are two types of Asset Tracking solution available dependant on the choice of power source: an auto-rechargeable option and a disposable battery version.
